You will not regret having to be in Zanzibar, because the beauty of this city does not stop in the beautiful beaches. The beaches in Zanzibar are a paradise, interspersed with picturesque fishing villages, where the people live a simple way of life, unchanged over the years. There are more than 25 fantastic beaches in Zanzibar, and some are so peaceful and remote that the only noise breaking the silence is likely to be the ocean, with fringing coral reefs, and the magic of historic Stone Town - said to be the only functioning ancient town in East Africa. In here, you can see the largest butterfly paradise in East Africa. The Zanzibar Butterfly Centre has more than 100 species of butterflies roaming free in here. The butterfly that exhibits in here is mostly natives to the island and when you visit this place you will be able to see the lifecycle of the butterflies and read monkey. The whole world comes here in Jozani forest to see the read monkey, cause is the only place you can found this read monkey. Over centuries different cultures have influenced Zanzibar to become what it is today. Sumerians, Assyrians, Egyptians, Phonecians, Indians, Chinese, Persians, Portuguese, Omani Arabs, Dutch and British have settled here at one time or another and influenced the local culture into the present fusion.
We happy to inform you that during the time you are here in Zanzibar you will work as volunteer teacher in the one of our schools. We have a lot of schools which need volunteer and among of them you well be in Mountain hill school. We hope you will help the school and student in general. Also we believe you will enjoy the school.
When your here in Zanzibar you will be with our family (host family). My family is one of best family which is full fill with happiness and hospitality and more than all is servant of God family. So at the time your here you will be as a part of family and you will do any good things as a family and we will try to teach you our culture and also you will teach us if you like to.
Philemon Obeid is father of the family and his wife Destina is the mother of the family. Happy and Erick are Philemon children’s. Also we have a house girl.
Because of the work we have people who we working to gather in order to make every thing going on line. Theirs 5 staff who are focusing in volunteer project, tour and safari.
